This extract is derived from the Humulus lupulus herb, a perennial herb that grows in vines. It has anti-bacterial properties that inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria. It contains unique plant hormones that resemble the structure of human estrogen, which work to stop hair loss, sometimes completely. It also has properties that inhibit the activity of 5α-reductase, which is a factor in androgenetic alopecia.
