A member of the Meliaceae family, the oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the Azadirachta indica tree (Neem, Nimtree or Indian Lilac) native to India, and the powder is ground from its dried leaves. It is full of the compound Azadirachin, flavonoids and polyphenols, which are a rich source of antioxidants, fatty acids and glycerides.
